How long does NDIS registration take?

Verification pathway applications with complete documents typically take four to eight weeks. Certification pathways that need a site audit generally take three to six months. The slowest part is almost always evidence that is missing at lodgement, which is exactly what we prepare in advance.

What is involved in the cost of registration?

There are two parts. The audit fee is paid directly to an approved quality auditor you choose, and it varies with your pathway, scope, sites and participant numbers. Our consulting fee depends on the same variables. Book a consultation and we will confirm your pathway and send a fixed written quotation before any work starts.

What is the difference between a verification and a certification audit?

Verification is a desktop review for lower risk registration groups: the auditor checks your documents, insurances, worker screening and key personnel. Certification applies to higher risk supports such as SIL, personal care, and behaviour support, and includes interviews and a site audit against the NDIS Practice Standards. Your registration groups decide which one applies.

Do I need to be a registered NDIS provider at all?

Accepted Answer

You must be registered to support NDIA managed participants and to deliver certain supports including specialist disability accommodation and regulated restrictive practices. Plan managed and self managed participants can use unregistered providers. Registration widens your market and is usually worth it if you intend to grow or employ staff.

What policies and procedures do I need?

At minimum: incident management, complaints, risk management, human resources and worker screening, participant rights and consent, privacy and records, continuity of supports, and emergency and disaster management. Higher risk groups add medication, restrictive practices, mealtime management and more. We supply documents written to the Practice Standards and tailored to how you actually operate.

Which registration groups should I apply for?

Accepted Answer

Apply for what you can genuinely staff and evidence today. Over scoping is the most common self inflicted delay, because it can push you from verification into certification and add audit cost. You can add groups later once you are operating.

Can you help if my application was rejected or my audit found non conformities?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We review the auditor's findings, rebuild the evidence that failed, correct the documents and prepare your corrective action response within the required timeframe.

Do you work with providers outside Melbourne?

Yes. We are based in Werribee and work with providers across Victoria and nationally by video call and shared document workspaces.
